Obituary: SCARR, Annie Rebecca

Annie Rebecca SCARR (nee LEONARD) Contributed by John Johnston

Mrs. Annie Scarr, wife of Mr. P. A. Scarr, manager of the Raymond Terrace Co-operative Butter and Produce Co., Hexham, Hunter River, died yesterday at her home at Hexham. Mrs. Scarr was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Leonard, of 101 Fry street, Grafton, and was well-known throughout the district. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs. J. Palmer, of Raymond Terrace, and three sons, Messrs. Jack, Jim and Douglas Scarr, to mourn their loss. Mr. Jack Scarr is at present in England on business for the company. Messrs. H. P. and W. S. Leonard, of Great Marlow, are brothers, and Misses J., M. and K. Leonard and Mrs. A. L. Hotchkiss, of Fry street, Grafton, are sisters. The funeral takes place at Newcastle to-day (Saturday) at 2 o?clock.
