Obituary: SHORT, Bertha

Mrs B. CLARK (nee SHORT)

The death occurred in Grafton Base Hospital of Mrs. Bertha Clark, aged 87.

Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Clark has resided with her daughter and son-in-law at Cowper.

She was born at Lower Southgate, and moved with her husband to the Richmond River, where they resided at Ballina for some years.

Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Short of Lower Southgate.

Three sons, Albion (Glenreagh), Bertram (Dorrigo), and Ralph (Tabulam), two daughters, Mrs. Joy (Queensland), and Mrs Want (Cowper) and a sister Mrs. McDonald (Sydney) survive Mrs. Clark.

A daughter, Gwen, six brothers and two sisters, predeceased Mrs. Clark.

Mrs. Clark was buried at the Rous cemetery beside her husband following a service in the Rous Mill Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements were by H. H. Sanders Pty. Ltd. of Grafton.
